By the age of twelve, Lauren recorded her first track in a friend's studio, and even pulled together songs for a cover album and passed them out one-at-a-time to anyone willing to listen. Her hands-on self-promoting caused quite the buzz and her talent landed her the spot of lead singer and bass player in a pop-rock band called The Blonde Moments just a year later. Lauren was playing at popular venues; from the Docks, Opera House, Kool House, Guvernment and Reverb. "I am so fortunate to have had these experiences," says Lauren, "especially opening up for Broken Social Scene." During her younger years,Lauren also performed the national anthem at Toronto's Rogers Centre for Toronto's Argonauts.
