Too Young To Die

Phonovectra got a unique permission to use Carl Th. Dreyers short film: They Caught The Ferry from 1948, for their music video for the song “Too Young To Die”. Dreyer’s short film - and the music video - features a bold young couple on a motorbike, speeding to catch the ferry in Nyborg (a place in Denmark). The young couple crashes and the only ferry they catch is the ferry to Hades. The last scene of the movie – and of the music video – is that of two white coffins being transported off by the ferryman. FACTS: Carl Th. Dreyer (1889-1968) is considered one of the world’s major film directors. His ground-breaking film Jeanne D’Arc (1928) og Vredens Dag (1943) often appear at international top 10 lists over the best films in the world, and Du skal ære din hustru is among the ten films chosen for the Danish cultural canon.
