Song: IT'S NOT THAT EASY
One thing I love to hear from an artist is the truth. The truth in their lyrics, their delivery, and most of all their ability to be true to their style (who they are musically). This has been achieved on every level. Based on the bio on the artist page this is the type of music I would expect to hear. The lyrics are clear and the message is put right in your hands. I listen to music for a living and it is very rare that I ever listen to a song for more than 60 seconds. I played this song several times in order to really give some constructive and positive opinion...and that is just what it will be...not right nor wrong..just my opinion. I listen to a certain station on Sirius that enables the artist to break down their material to a very simple form of guitar and vocal (for the most part). This shows the true quality of the song and the strength of the melody and chordal structure. This song would stand strong in this application. I obviously enjoyed this song. Now, is it for radio? What is radio anymore? Is it a hit? What is a hit anymore? Music should be accepted as any other art form...as a piece of ones vision of himself, of the world, or an interpretation of art that he/she enjoys and feels connected with. I get the sense that he is connected to this song, these lyrics, this musical moment. The mix was simple, smooth, and very well balanced. For this style of music it was what was needed. As far as production goes I will save that for the comments portion of our show. Overall this was a great sample of your efforts.
