Timothy Lee Miller earned a Bachelor of Science degree in instrumental music education from the University of Tennessee where he studied composition with John Anthony Lennon, a Master of Music degree from the University of Miami where he studied media writing and production with James Progris, and is currently studying with Jonathan Bailey Holland and Andy Jaffe through the Master of Fine Arts program in Music Composition at Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier. He just completed a year of study with composer Tamar Diesendruck.

He has received several commissions, ASCAP awards and honors, including a Distinguished Special Mention at the 2009 IBLA Grand Prize Competition in Ragusa, Italy, and as a winner of the International Music Prize for Excellence in Composition 2011. His music is self-published exclusively through Tomato Lettuce Mustard Music Publishing.
