Hi, I'm Michael Heisel, and The High Cell is my band/recording project. I'm a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, and I originally started recording music in my own studio as The High Cell as an outlet between bands.
While it started as a hobby, it's grown into a full-blown musical endeavor over the past few years. I generally record the guitars, bass, vocals and percussion on all of my songs, and supplement by dabbling on other instruments/virtual instruments and with the use of programmed drum loops. I'm always open to guest musicians as well.
As I'm a fan of many different types of music, I've found that The High Cell has allowed me the creative freedom to explore the corners of my music tastes and share the results with other music fans.
I've also enjoyed pursuing film/tv/brand placement and composing work, and I always welcome opportunities to work on these types of projects.
