Biographies

Blaine was discovered in his early years by blind Egyptian pianist Nicholas Constantinidis, winner of the Chopin competition in Poland. After Constantinidis nurtured Blaine’s classical music performances on the piano for many years, Blaine went on to study jazz with Interlochen music school alumnus Rick Bloomquist. He then studied music theory at the Cleveland Institute of Music’s Preparatory Conservatory.

Blaine’s first recordings of electronic music came in 1991 at the age of 18. His electronic rendition, Symphony #1, appeared on the Music and Elsewhere record label in Surrey, England. Since then Blaine has published ten CDs of work. Among his activities in the industry, Blaine co-conceived the sample CD project Titanium Rhythms, released on Big Fish Audio with Jason Jones. Some of the samples can be heard in the movie Underworld, produced by Sony. Blaine has countless performances to his credit such as The Ideas Gallery, 1994; the Universal Light Expo, 1995; The Cleveland Public Theater’s 1995 film festival, etc. “Blaine is Batman in a digital music Gotham city,” said Ann Kowalsky, 1994 publicist.

Alex became involved in electronic music upon meeting Blaine Jones in 1998. Alex had performed the trumpet and studied music in various youth orchestras and bands for over 10 years of his youth. Alex has since mastered many pieces of equipment used in the production and performance of electronic music.
Alex is also a journalist and a journalism student at Kent State University. Alex writes for the Daily Kent Stater and is a correspondent for the Akron Beacon Journal.
