Raised on heavy doses of Warren Zevon, Tom Waits, and the Replacements, Singer / Songwriter / Musician Spud Davenport spins his tales of woe and WHOA! with songs like "Don't Flip Your Lid", "Time Bomb Mom", "Car Wreck" and "Enjoy Every Sandwich".
His debut CD, Green, was self-produced & released in 2007 and hopefully there's another record due in 2014.
Spud plays Gretsch Drums, Piano, Guitar, and sings/screams/barks for attention...
And he's also available for work as Co-writer, Producer, and Musician.

Phew. So good. I was wondering who wrote this one. Perfect vocal for the song too.

Pretty incredible song, really shows off Spud's formidable songwriting talent.

I'm a little blown away that Spud has been around so long and this is the first time I've discovered his work.

Great stuff.

Nathaniel, hopefully you had a chance to check out some of his songs. He's a truly brilliant songwriter - and not just for witty lyrics (at which he is so adept) but his sense of melody and harmonies and musicianship is top-notch - reminds me a bit of Elvis Costello in style, but maybe with more of a pop-catchy sensibility. I love "Hater" and "She Gets Loud" and listen to them over and over in my car - very addictive, and such cool production on them too.

Damn you Spud for naming your song "Hater". Do you know how hard a time I had hunting it down after I heard it on the 6-pack. Couldn't figure out the title. The best song I've heard in a long time. I've played it over and over and can't get it out of my head. Please make it downloadable. I'll pay to download it. It's really REALLY so good. And I'm picky as hell about songs I like.
