Song Description
This is a song I wrote to express myself to my daughter when she was 15 going on 22. I wanted to hold her back and slow down her becoming an adult and she of course wanted nothing to do with that. We were both wrong in a way and both right also. My daughter's name is Dawn...hence the title New Days, New Dawns

Lyrics
New Days New Dawns
A piece of clay
One piece each day
You fold it you mold it
It walks away
A speck of dust
The wind its thrust
You hold it you scold it
It leaves it must
Chorus:
The world grinds on
New days New Dawns
But I?d slow it down if I could
Yes please slow it down if you would
A shadow lies
Behind your eyes
You change it arrange it
And hope it flies
Yet in its flight
Toward the light
You?d chain it detain it
With all your might
Repeat chorus:
And in the end
A child you?ll send
Ever out
All in doubt
Around the bend
