Story Behind The Song
It's a very long and complex story that ties into the stories behind several other songs on Vital Hiatus. To get more succinct, Joe the lead singer/ guitarist and his room mate got robbed at gunpoint by three dudes (one who they knew trying to cover their identity) in their own home at around midnight when they were all relaxed and feeling safe. An acquaintance of theirs had betrayed their trust and led these armed felons to their doorstep. They were helpless to do anything, but knew they could have easily taken on the robbers had they not been armed with a pistol, shotgun, and an assault rifle. Hence the rage portrayed in this song. The story gets a lot more involved and crazy, but that would take forever to type and explain, just picture yourself in that situation, how would you feel?
Song Description
This song is about feeling a lot of helpless rage, in the sense that someone did something to you, but you can't do anything back to them to justify the way you feel. So you picture smashing their faces in with a bat and revel in it. It's all about the release of rage, anger, and hate into a sensible form such as music.
