Story Behind The Song
Things had gotten so intertwined between all of us. I think deep down we all realized that there was going to be no clean resolution to the tangled mess we had made. No one was going to be able to untangle themselves and walk away undamaged. With that as a reality, it was easier to cut the tangled parts of us apart and blame something other than the real cause. I make it sound like a noble sacrifice. It was petty, angry, childish, painful, and thankfully we all came out on the other side alive.

Lyrics
ILIOST
I want to say something nice
Or say nothing at all
I?m so worn I just need to calmly
Let all my cards fall
A thousand days
One hundred eighteen nights we stood
And now I look past
Memories and things
That never should happen but could
And I don?t know where it is
We go from here
Just know I?m tired of this year
And I?m all out of tears
And forks in the road
Are going nowhere
But leading us apart
And as for being healthy
And putting out anchor
That was just the easy part
Cause I?m an island
In the eye of the storm
And if I look lost
It?s cause for the first time
I looked and could not see the shore
One thousand one hundred
And one things I could say
But words we?ve found of late
Habitually get in the way
It still hurts
To you I will not tell a lie
So for now I?ll think of you
In futures that have passed us by
