Song Description
This is a song about being away home and pleading to the consistent things in your life to be there when you get back. In a world of constant change and uncertainty, we all need that one stable component. The protagonist pleads to the things that humble him, be here when I return or as the 1st line in the chorus says, "keep your heart in the same place." And lines like, "I wanna know when the sun runs out, like the road runs out....keep your heart" are saying, at the end of the end, when it is all said and done, and through all this change, my love for you will not change a bit

Lyrics
I ain't never been good enough
I've been out here for days and days without pay
without your love or your sweet, sweet ways
Baby, I wanna' know what we're working towards
I wanna' know when the sun runs out, like the road runs out into the open shore
You'll...
(Keep your heart) in the same place (Keep your heart) where I found it before
(Keep your heart) like a new day, breathing at the break of dawn
I ain't never been right enough to say exactly what I want to say
In time we grow weak and miles away from what we should've said
