Story Behind The Song
Long time marriage ends with the medically unexplained death of the husband. Wife retreats to remote cabin in New Mexico to escape and eventually comes to realization that husband is gone and she needs to get on with her life. Even though her tendency will be to always compare everyone else to her former husband, she realizes that that her former husband would understand if she found another love. I wrote the song while staying as the last guest to rent the cabin from her just weeks prior to her selling it and moving on with her life. The peaceful feeling from watching the leaves flittering in the wind on the Aspen trees surrounding the cabin prompted the "dreamy" sound I tried to convey in the song. TRUE STORY!

Lyrics
HAND IN HAND
There is this woman, there was this man.
Beverly & Johnny, walking hand in hand.
Why did he have to go? Only God knows.
There is this woman, there was this man.
Instrumental
There is this cabin, in New Mexico
Pictured covered walls, of memories long ago
But she?s moving on with her life, leaving behind lonely strife
There is this woman, there was this man.
Instrumental
Now if you think about it, you?ll know just what I mean.
True love really never dies, and it will always be seen.
That a man needs a woman, a woman needs a man.
And even if she finds another, ahh, you know he?d understand.
Beverly & Johnny, always walking hand in hand.
(Tempo change)
Walking, hand in hand.
Walking, yeah, hand in hand.
Walking, hand in hand. Here we go. See them walking?
Walking, hand in hand.
