Lyrics
Swamp Funk
Feelin' weak sometimes
I feel used
I feel afraid sometimes
like I might lose.
It makes me feel ashamed
my ego bruised
Feelin' muddy, feelin' low
like some swamp-funk in my soul
PRECHORUS:
Honey, why do i trip like this
when I've been given so many gifts.
Someone save me from myself
I can't sit here on this shelf. No
CHORUS:
Free the swamp funk in your soul
let it lift you let it go.
Free the swamp funk in my soul
I feel it liftin' letting go mercy, mercy
Free the swamp funk in your soul
let it lift you, let it go.
For I am gifted I am free.
Time to use my abilities.
VERSE:
Spirit's callin', I'm free-fallin'.
A gentle nudgin', hmmmm
but I'm not budgin'.
Universe she's speakin'
but am I listenin'
First she whispers then she screams
that it's time to live my dreams.
PRECHORUS:
So honey why do I feel like this
when I've been given so many gifts.
Someone save me from myself
I can't sit here on this shelf.
CHORUS:
BRIDGE:
It is a choice to be happy
No one can change that.
I am creator of my own life
and now I am free.
CHORUS:
Free the swamp funk...
