Story Behind The Song
In 1995 I wrote this song about our country and how important it is to stand up for individule rights as long as one follows the rules. It is also about having toerence and fairness within all cultures. I believe that achieving one's goals will help us all as a whole. This song was recorded in 2006 at Nova Studios in Ojai, CA with Teddy Jack Russell Bridges (Leon Russell's son). He helped bring this song to life.

Lyrics
Better Nation
There?s nothing wrong
In believing in something for too long
As long, as you?re aware of the intention
And how long, will ya, be the one who don?t belong
In a world of mass confusion
When ever you want it
When ever you need it
What?s wrong, with the individual way you?re livin?
It?s too strong, for conventional society
We bond, a figment of imagination
Beyond, all of our, all of our diversities
When ever you want it
When ever you need it
Tear apart, all the prejudice at heart
People and relation
Different skins, the only way we part
Divided, in one nation
Tryin? to find, a new place to start
Searchin?, for direction
When the messages get blown apart
Re-direction
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here
This song, speaks the words to those who?ll listen
If you, can keep your mind from hibernation
Be strong, and stand up for what you believe in
Then we, we?ll have our selves
A better nation
When ever you want it
When ever you need it
A better nation
When ever you want it
When ever you need it
