Story Behind the Song

I wrote the song about a loved one's constant battle with her physical and mental health challenges. She was once a very active fun loving person. Now with her health battles is relegated to barely making it out of bed each day. This song was meant to provide inspiration to get better and let her know that I'm there for her every step of the way.

Feels like a pop/rock out of the eighties. The voice sounds a bit stereotypical to me, but it's very strong, and make the song. In fact, it kept me interested throughout the song. I'd say that the singer is better than the song, probably, but the song is not bad itself. The lyrics are very cheap melodrama, but, again, the voice make up for them, in fact the intensity sounds sincere. She seems to have something to convey, emotionally, and she's quite able to do it, although, as I said, not in a very personal way. The harmonies, also, are very good. The synth section should make 80's nostalgics happy, and even the guitar and bass part are good, and approximately coming from that past. So, everything's nice, and the singer sounds like a pop star in the making, only in the wrong decade.

Lyrics

I long for the day
When the pain will go away
The clouds will be gone
And I'll see your smiling face

It's been such a long
I know it
That look on your face
Still shows it

It's beaten you down
A hard price to pay
You've given up trying
And lost your way

Every...........day
is just the same
I can read your mind
I can feel your pain

Don't give up hope
I'm here for you now
We'll get through this
Some way, somehow

Keep the faith
and you will see
Things will get better
You gotta believe

Oh Keep the faith
The pain will fade
You'll get better
You'll be amazed

I long for the day
When the pain will go away
The clouds will be gone
And I'll see your smiling face

Take a deep breath
Now close your eyes
Let it all out
Relax your mind

I'm telling you
Somehow, some way
There's still a chance
So, keep the faith

The sun will rise
And so will you
You'll beat this thing
I know it's true

Don't give up hope
I'm here for you now
We'll get through this
Some way, somehow

Keep the faith
and you will see
Things will get better
You gotta believe

Oh Keep the faith
The pain will fade
You'll get better
You'll be amazed

I long for the day
When the pain will go away
The clouds will be gone
And I'll see your smiling face
