Story Behind The Song

My esteemed colleague, Mr. Ivan Coulter, was down visiting me from Dublin for the weekend. As per usual we hit the town and as it happened, we bumped into a friend of mine called Ruth. She was a surfer from a town just down along the coast. Ivan instantly fell in love with her and spent the night locked in conversation with her. We all ended up back at my apartement where I played guitar, Ruth danced and Ivan furiously penned lyrics. Ocean girl was the love child that was concieved that night.
