Story Behind The Song

She's the story behind the song. She always needed constant reassurance of my love for her. She would read those magazines marketed mainly to women, and when she came across the love-polls she demanded that we participate. I didn't care much for answering the questions because I don't take tests well, but I never had trouble expressing my feelings. I wrote this song to help out anyone else that might be struggling to pass these monthly tests of love. I titled the song "Light" because it's enlightening, but anyone who hears it will also know that it's a love-poll cheat sheet.

Song Description

This song answers the questions often presented by the love-polls that you find in women's magazines. The responder in the song, usually a male, takes a witty but loving approach to his carefully chosen answers. His final thought, however, details the truism he hides in the question "...who, will turn out the light by the bed?" Suggesting that his answers are sincere, and that his greatest fear is living his life without her.
