Lyrics

Trouble Comin?
Words and music by The Woodmen

Verse 1
Well I?ve never been one to mince my words
Now it?s time to set straight just what you heard
About that little matter down Georgia way

According to the local lore
Ol? Reb well he stood about six foot four
Had a scar for a smile and a snarl for a
greetin' hand

Reb did three tours in Vietnam
That?s a damn sight more than his Uncle Sam
Did not do wonders for his point of view

Chorus
(I say) oh trouble comin? boy
(I say) oh, Charlie comin?
The hellfire?s surely comin? for you

Verse 2
Well ?bout three years back of the Stonewall Bar
Some yokel made fun of Reb?s Saigon scar
Reb was hard on the ?jack? boy, you just
don?t do it then

Ol? Reb, well he spoke without makin? a sound
That glass eye just a bulgin? out big and round
Took one step towards the fool who done
him wrong

Well that fool?s jaw dropped like atomic balls
He ran from there screamin?, I?m a tellin? y?all
That fool?s done lucky he can draw a breath
this day

Chorus

(I say) oh trouble comin? boy
(I say) oh, Charlie's comin?
The hellfire?s surely comin? for you

Verse 3
Well now I?m not a man to lose my nerve
And what happened next I did observe
Reb ate the wrong end of a sawed-off .44

Now some people cried, some people laughed
But all of them said that shotgun blast
Put an end to the pain of a life done long ago

So remember now as you go your way
Some wounds run deep, deeper than they say
Take care when you happen upon an unfortunate one

Chorus
(I say) oh trouble comin? boy
(I say) oh, Charlie comin?
The hellfire?s surely comin? for you

Epilogue
They say that Reb?s spirit, it lingers on
And it will ?til we?re all just dead and gone
That?s the end of the tale,
But the start of another drink, yeah!

Chorus
(I say) oh trouble comin? boy, trouble comin? boy
(oh, I say) oh, trouble comin?
The hellfire?s surely comin? for you
Trouble comin??
Watch your back
Bring it baby
Bank on it?

I liked the lyrics they were fun. It's kind a fun vibe to it. The singer makes more of a rock genre, but could easily go for both ways.
