QUALITY VS. QUANTITY. Something is burning way off in the distance as I?m driving home and they way the smoke mixes with the music on my stereo?it?s beautiful. The clouds have transfigured themselves into so many different possibilities of shape and I wish that I could change or fade away that easily. There?s a family that?s dying a little closer to home than I?m willing to admit and at least once a week I got a stack of unopened mail?gets a little bit higher. Its quality not quantity that I wish would fill these letters I don?t want to read. How many times to we have to do and say the same things to drive the point home. This is not me, this is a shadow or some kind of make believe that I create up on the stage for everyone to see. I don?t know which is worse, the fact that I?ve been such a disappointment to myself or is it more the fact that I got caught. Because its quality not quantity when it comes to you and the way that your heart breaks even as far away as I am I?m still close enough to drive the point home. It?s quality, not quantity, when it comes to me and the way that I have these dreams. Even as wide awake as I may seem I?m still too tired to drive myself back home.
