Poco Loco

Story Behind The Song

Where do songs come from? Unless creating to fulfill a specific request, for me they just show up. In this instance, I heard the words, Poco Loco and thought what a great song title. That led to the chorus and that to the thematic verse and...voila! a song.

Song Description

A song expressing the idea that if they (storied inventors)were a little crazy I wish that I were as well... or Poco Loco. The driving choruses are separated by outlining a highlight in the life of a famous inventor(s).

Lyrics

POCO LOCO
Writer: Jimmy Joe Lee

OO-EEE - if they were a little crazy
Whoa- oh oh oh I wish I were poco loco

Orville and Wilber made everyone laugh
When it was found they were trying
To build a machine that they saw in a dream where everyone could go flying

REFRAIN

Benjamin Franklin had surely gone daft
When out in the rain he went kiting
He said it seems to me with a kite and A key I may discover a way to use lightning

REFRAIN

Thomas A Edison though a bit strange
Most folks felt was quite bright
Until one day someone heard him say
I am designing an electrical light
