Story Behind The Song

It's the song I'd wished my mother had written to my dad a long time ago. She finally did arrive to the same conclusion and got out of the toxic situation, but it took a very long time. I wrote this song in about 20 minutes, it was an easy, and yet difficult, song to write.

Song Description

At the beginning of the song, the woman is an enabler in a dysfunctional relationship. She is lied to, and accepts it, meanwhile her partner asks for absoluton - and gets it as the woman is too tired to fight anymore. By the end of the song she no longer grants that absolution as she can see the futility in it.
