Story Behind The Song

I was currently traveling in the Santa Barbara area with a friend when he told me he was thinking about killing himself. I told him to talk to me and tell me why. He explained the situation to me and what was causing him to feel so alone. I began to tell him that, even though he feels alone, "There is a God!" I further explained to him certain moments in my life that made me fall on my knees and pray to God for guidance. He delivered me! I told him that the same deliverence is right there for him! THERE IS A GOD!
