Reggie The California Gator

Story Behind The Song

Driving home from a gig I was listening to the radio about all of Southern California a buzz 'cause someone dumped a Gator in a Los Angeles area lake. They named him Reggie which I thought was funny cause several years earlier my son got a gator head souvenir in Florida and he named it Reggie. The news cast was describing how they had all these Gator catchers from Louisiana and Florida but none had been successful. I thought that ole Gator is having fun swimming around while these guys chase him - he?s saying ?come on lets play some more?.
