Story Behind The Song
After a talk about the subject matter, we were inspired to write a song about it.
Song Description
Comes in with a guitar intro heavily influenced by Edge and Robin Guthrie, then moves to a more Steve Howe influenced guitar riff, followed by a slower more Edge-like part. Drums and vocals come in along with bass. Moves more towards a heavy, Tool-like guitar and vocal part. Goes back and forth between chorus and verse. Moves to a jazzy, Police-esque guitar part with trumpet and vocals over it. Guitar and Trumpet trade off solos. Fin.

Lyrics
You speak my name so quietly no one can hear
Your pouting lips so supple that they're beckoning me near
But the closer I get, the more I believe
That I'm not the boy that you're going to deceive
I thought we were parallel too
I guess you're perpendicular through
At least around your friends
They're a means to an end
I could hang their pictures up in that frame
But it doesn't matter
You're all the same
You say you want love, but you puncture it so
When a man wants a woman, in the creep box he goes
You think you know everything believe me it shows
From your head right down to your pale painted toes
You speak my name so quietly no one can hear
Your pouting lips so supple that they're beckoning me near
But the closer I get, the more I believe
That I'm not the boy that you're going to deceive
You say you want love, but you puncture it so
When a man wants a woman, in the creep box he goes
You think you know everything believe me it shows
From your head right down to your pale painted toes
Farewell, my sweet darling, it's time for the end
Your will I refuse, and to it I won't bend
