Story Behind The Song
This song came to me during the early years of my writing - 1992. Bizzarely, I was happy, not in a relationship and content with the fact. The song came out as is, in around 10 minuts. The production you hear was recorded back then, but EQ's recently in Protools. I have tried to do new versions, but for some reason I feel this version retains a great deal of charm. As a songwriter, I believe that this song has universal appeal, can be sung by anyone, male or female and does lend itself to various productions styles.
Song Description
An ironic song in a way. In that the song 'Our Old Song' will in fact become a song for people looking to share a song. Many people should be able to find a great deal of meaning in the song, as a lot of images and the main chorus reflect what happens post break up.

Lyrics
Our Old Song
By Stu Whisson
Verse 1
When your asleep
Lying in bed
Do you see me
Or demons instead
Dreamin? alone
Heart lost and died
Feeling the truth, it
Hurts cause we lied
Chorus
But I?m not along
Cause I?ve got the radio on
And it?s playin?
Our old song
Verse 2
Torn up inside
Feeling subsides
Pictures of you lay
Down by myself
Poison words spilled
Should never have said
Two souls collide
And love left for dead
Chorus x 1
If you see me
Crying inside
Just walk away
Or shield your eyes
No words can mend
The scars on my heart
Cause love may heal the loney
But it?s tearing me apart
Chorus x 2
