I've been visiting my mother's house and looking at the wall/ it's filled with family pictures taken years ago
in one picture I'm with my sister/ big smiles on our face/ I started thinking what a shame such loving moments time had got me to erase

my sister always came to me if our parents weren't there/ I was the loving older brother/ put
the ribbons in her hair/
I tied her shoes/made her lunch / and walked with her to school/ in my sisters eyes I was ten foot tall and taught God's golden rule

growing up we helped each other/ we were close as two could be/ the oldest of the children in our family/ but as years went by the emotions changed /we don't seem to care at all
and now we're just a
picture hanging on the wall
one day my sister came to me tears filling up her eyes/ told me she's an unwed mother and wanted my advice/ but my love and understanding could simple not be found
so with that disappointment all she did was turn around/ and in close to seven years we haven't spoke a word
