Story Behind The Song

This is a very personal song. I was madly in love and my girl (now my wife) was away on business. Actually, we hadn't announced our love for each other yet. Anyway, she didn't call to let me know how she was. I couldn't concentrate on anything and so I had loads of time to be miserable. One evening, the setting sun burned the walls of my room. I was at the keyboard and this whole song came out more or less the way it is now. I only polished it and added drum fills later. We married 6 months later. This song remains our favourite.

This song is about going being in love and waiting for the time when you can be together. This is about going on a long drive because there is nothing else you can do to kill the time that you are apart.
