The Wanderer

Story Behind The Song

The band's name was actually derived from a lyric in the chorus and not the other way around. It introduces the concept of a "soul ground". It's the bridge between art and science, or the body and soul. It's bridges the gap between abstract thought and feelings and more practical groundings in science so that you can make sense of things. The song explores themes of self-exploration, finding oneself, spirituality, soul-searching. It also alludes to concepts of physics, dark matter, energy and the universe. In a way it follows the journey of a man "the wanderer" and his path to find his place in the universe. Society has referred to human beings as being either leaders, or followers. This song introduces a third type of person, "the wanderer" who sets his own path. He doesn't need to feed off of others. He derives his power from within. THis is the song for the true introvert.

Lyrics

V1
Days pass ...
Just another night
Will I find my way
There's a place no one knows
There's a place where know one goes

Chorus 1
Wear my face
Hide it from my head now
Take my place
Feed me to your soul ground
Take my place
Feed me to your soul ground
Take my place
Lead me to my soul ground

V2
There's a ...
Place behind the line
Where the light goes dark
Forever unknown lies the follower
Forever alone is the wanderer, the wanderer

Chorus 2
I'm a mess
I can't put my foot down
Change my pace
I'll ride it to the end now
Change my pace
Lead me to your soul ground
Change my pace
Lead me to your soul ground

Bridge
We all miss the words to fill
And I'm not the one to find
Just want a sense of what's mine
I'm walking the bridge over my mind

Chorus 3
Change the pace
Feed me to your soul ground
Change the pace
Lead me to where my souls found
