Story Behind The Song
Originally written to pitch for the end credits of the 2010 film "Love Don't Let Me Down" starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim McGraw, Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester.
Song Description
About hoping for love even when faced with all the evidence of its impossibilities, this song suggests that the power of love can be so strong that one can get sucked in, even if they try to resist. Two people can be "PERFECT" for one another, but if they let themselves fall in love, a "STORM" is imminent from the relationships that will be broken up in the process.

Lyrics
Verse
From the very first tick we clicked in perfect harmony.
In body and mind and soul I know that you're "The One".
All those romantic rhymes now feel real to me
In this crazy game of love I think at last I've won.
Pre-Chorus
But in a cruel twist of fate you're already spoken for
And each stolen moment with our soul mates just leaves us wanting more.
Chorus
Our love is flying blind, chasing stars above that are misaligned.
It feels so right, though we know it's wrong.
We can't fight what we've been missing for so long.
We're fallin' hard, head over feet
Straight into the HEART OF A PERFECT STORM.
Our siren song it sounds so sweet
In the silent calm before a perfect storm.
Drowning out the warnings of a love that's formed
In THE HEART OF A PERFECT STORM.
Pre-Chorus
What a cruel twist of fate, finding what we're aching for
In the right place but just a little late; I can't break the vows you swore.
Drowning out the warnings of the love about to form ...
Bridge
So, before the heavens come crashing down and all hell breaks loose,
I'll retreat to higher ground where I won't hear our seducing...
Chorus
Siren song that sounds so sweet
In the silent calm before a perfect storm.
I'll heed the warnings of the love we almost formed
In THE HEART OF A PERFECT STORM.
