Story Behind The Song
No "real" story here...well...maybe there is. I guess if we're ever sitting around a campfire together and I've eaten my share of goodies (i.e. snacks put me in a good mood), I "might" tell you. -- :) kjl

Lyrics
I looked into your window -- just to where you couldn?t see my face
I?m sorry you don?t know me -- perhaps a better ?nother time or place
They say that I can?t ever meet you
Maybe it?s better -- after all I must have put you through
Eighteen years go by
Time enough to learn about -- about the living lie
Eighteen years go by
For me to learn about my past or -- remain a living lie
Where did I get my hands -- or even coloring inside my eyes
Do you ever think about me -- or the lack of having a goodbye
My mother told me never seek you
Maybe it?s better -- after all I?m gonna put you through
Eighteen years go by
Not a single word from you but now -- it?s me the living lie
Eighteen years go by
Time to hear the full voice whisper -- It?s me the living lie
You can?t even look into my -- Excuse me, your eyes!
Turns out I?m better than you -- And all of your lies!
How can you think that you could ever find a place to hide
Hey it?s me standing -- and here?s my little brother by my side
Eighteen years go by
I finally found the truth it?s here -- inside the living lie
Eighteen years go by
Just enough to know it wasn?t me -- it?s you, the living lie
Eighteen years go by
I finally found the truth it?s here -- inside the living lie
Eighteen years go by
Just enough to know it wasn?t me -- it?s you, the living lie
