FOR SALE
by Pat Aureli
Copyright 2001 PAT AURELI
(Verse:) Sell the three-bedroom ranch house
With the paved driveway and picket fence
Sell the dining room furniture
?Cause none of it makes any sense
(Verse:) Sell the wide-screen TV
And that ol? entertainment center
Sell the four-poster bed
And that ugly bedspread from your mother
(Chorus:) ?Cause I sold my soul
When I sold my motorcycle
Yeah, I lost my old friend
With a tiny ad in the classified
And how I miss that ride
And all her shiny chrome
Now everything?s for sale
Yeah, everything I own
And all I know is
I?ve gotta get that bike back home
(Bridge:) I?m gonna sell everything that doesn?t move
I?m gonna sell everything you talked me into
I?m gonna sell everything I just can?t use
?Cause I sold my soul
When I sold my motorcycle
(Rejoin Chorus:) Yeah, I lost my old friend
With a tiny ad in the classified
And how I miss that ride
And all her shiny chrome
Now everything?s for sale
Yeah, everything I own
And all I know is
I?ve gotta get that bike back home
(Verse:) Sell that old Ford pick-up truck
You know it always ran kind of rough
Sell the baseball cards and racing stuff
Sittin? on the shelf collectin? dust
(Verse:) Sell the washer and dryer
The stove and refrigerator
Sell the lawnmower and power tools
You know I won?t need them later
(Repeat Chorus:)
?Cause I sold my soul
When I sold my motorcycle
