Always Saying Goodbye

Story Behind The Song

I was waving goodbye to my daughter as she left to go back to college after her first visit home as a freshman, when I realized that even though she would be coming home to visit in the future, it would never be the same - I would always have to say goodbye, as she wouldn't be living at home any more. I went inside, cried, and wrote this song.

Song Description

This song is about having to let go of your children as they grow up. Even though as a parent, you want the best for your kids, it's hard to let go. They will come home to visit, but you will always be saying goodbye to them.
