Initially the song inspiration came on a day when I was feeling really down and I started staring at my reflection in the mirror and I began having this dialogue with myself, and asking myself why I believe the lies that people have said about me and then in turn, declaring that I can do anything and encouraging and empowering myself. This song combines R&B/soul with 80s pop/rock vocal inspirations.
Song Description
A girl is stating that people have spread lies, and said she couldn't achieve whatever she set her sights on and she believed it for awhile, but now she can see it for what it is and that it's not true. She is taking back her power and declaring that she will do anything she sets her mind to.
