Story Behind The Song

Written originally as a competition piece, inspired by Thomas Newman's "American Beauty" theme tune. The concept was to explore original sounds and instrumentation to produce something altogether original in sound and feel.

Song Description

Ambient low, moody sound. Flute motif joined by tribal beats. Deep cello joined by strings in hypnotic cycle. Piano melody joins the song seamlessly swept up with the rhythm.

Interesting arrangement and instrumentation. I like the way it builds with variations mixing around the hooky flute.

Great peice, wonderful array of musical colour, keeps the interest to the end. Nice mix and balance. The depth and clarity given to the independant samples worked nicely. Very accomplished peice.
