Lyrics

Lord it's been a long, long time since I've taken this ride. I didn't even know her name as she stepped outside. Something caught my eye as she walked through this cafe. A feeling like this just doesn't come along everyday.

Ten years ago tomorrow, you said "I do". I still remember, just three months later, you said "We're Through". I saw a lot of you in this woman here today. Just once before have I felt this way.

And I knew someday that I wanted to see your face. But I never expected this to be the time and place. She looked so much like you that it brought back all the pain of the day you walked out our front door Into the Rain, Into the Rain.

I can see a payphone booth just across the street. I just need to find the strength to get up on my feet. I've got nothing to lose you know I've got you to gain. And all I've got to do is walk out into that rain.

And I knew someday that I wanted to see your face. Well I deicded that today was gonna be the time and place. You know the fact that it took ten years seems to be insane. When I should've just let it go and ran out into the rain and called your name. Into the Rain.
