First he needed a bassist to make sure his music could really groove and make the people move
So he called up Slim Ed Laces, because he knew of his affinity for basses
At first Slim Ed said no, you're an actor, you can't put on a music show, I've gotta go
But Marjoe pleaded with him more, cause he knew he needed a bassist for a world tour

Then it occurred to him, he couldn't rock out without a guitar player
So he called up Jimmy The Scar, because he'd seen him play guitar, so many times before
Jimmy said he couldn't, his wife needed him home and he just shouldn't, play more rock 'n' roll
At first Marjoe got downhearted, but he knew Jimmy and he could not be parted

Well this is a bummer, because Marjoe can't go on tour without a drummer, to keep the beat
So he called up Stevie Plums because he had a large collection of drums
At first Stevie rejected, said this is not a request he expected, from an actor
