Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song on the train going from new york to montreal and also on the beach in vancouver. I was going through a huge significant change in my life, and this song kind of helped me through it a little bit.
Song Description
The song is about a losing something that you loved, and how you have to cope with those changes. It's saying all the things you need to, and not saying them all at the same time. It's about unrequited loves slipping by, and it's about change in your life.

Lyrics
Oceans of blue, clouding my sight, with specks of dust, catching the light, lost in the deep, sinking fast, forgot how to swim, now I'm coming in last.
Those oceans are drifting away, I'm caught up in the light of day, fires don't burn in the oceans deep, sparks wont fly, they sink and I weep.
For you, who leaves me behind, sitting on white sands of a certain kind, white sands, I sit and I sigh, staring at oceans, asking why,
Those oceans are drifting away, I'm caught up in the light of day, fires don't burn in the oceans deep, sparks wont fly they sink and I weep
This is just a metaphor, this is just a lie, but it's that metaphor that dries my eyes, I hope you realize what this is all about yeah, I hope your hypothesis hasn't ruled me out, I know this ship has sailed and maybe it never docked, maybe it did and missed the tide I never heard you knock and now
Those oceans are drifting away, I'm caught up in the light of day, fires don't burn in the oceans deep, sparks wont fly, they sink and I weep,
Those oceans are drifting away, I'm caught up in the light of day, fires don't burn in the the oceans deep, sparks won't fly, they sink and I weep, they sink and I weep.
