Lyrics

Meetings of the heart, they sometimes take place after dark, until the misty dawn of morning you can find us in a blue moon's dream...these meetings of the heart, are turning into more than I had ever believed...the kind of love you hear about, or see up on the silver screen, the kind of love you read about in beauty parlor magazines...(short instrumental break)...in these meetings of the heart, that girl and I we find ourselves a brand new start, and all the pain and heartache that was once endured is washed to sea with the tides...she takes me by the hand, and walks me miles deep into the promised land...I fall down on my knees unto the splendor of a clean reprieve...I look up toward the sky and thank the good Lord she is by my side...beauty of the skin is just a temporary vanity, but beauty of the soul is gonna last you...an eternity...(guitar solo)...meetings of the heart, are turning into more than I had ever believed, let me tell ya mister, (I've) got the queen of diamonds up my sleeve! she takes me as I am, love's misery is something we just can't understand...the kind of love you dream about or see up on the silver screen...the kind of love you read about in beauty parlor magazines...

cool tune
good recording
nice drums & bass
good lyrics

Very mellow and smoothly flowing piece with a really good message. Ideal instrumentation and a very good arrangement.

A mellow Bob Dylan playing in a field on a sunny day. Not your usual Bob Dylan, in fact. A flowing acoustic pop. And there's even a bridge. Something that Dylan probably didn't do since Blonde On Blonde... A terse final too. Or that's what it seemed to me.

This song has great lyrics, it's sung well, the harmonies and instrumentation sound great and go well together. I got a kick out of "She takes me by the hand and walks me deep into the promised land", pretty cool!
