Lyrics
Annalee
Scott Fagan/Johnny Cayenne
Annalee and me , we were so young, it was so hot we saw the sea
Annalee and I we were so young, she had to bathe or she would die.
We saw the sign outside the door, this beach club is not for the poor.
Annalee and me had no money, I said I'll find a shady tree
Annalee said no you'd better go, whatever can the matter be?
She said she'd been in love before, and this time she expected more
La la la la la, The band began to play, lovely Annalee, her back began to sway
La, la, la, la, la A man came out to see, lovely Annalee, he let her in for free
Lovely Annalee what can I do all day I wait, I wait for you
Where is Annalee, we have to go doesn't she know it's getting late?
She said she'd been In love before, and this time she expected more
La la la la la, The band began to play, lovely Annalee, her back began to sway
La, la, la, la, la A man came out to see, lovely Annalee, he let her in for free...
They didn't have a word to say, they only smiled and drove away..
Annalee and me we were so young It was so hot we saw the sea
Annalee and I it was so hot, she had to bathe or she would die...
