Story Behind The Song
I was reminiscing about the south and the story of this song just came about. I enjoy writing witha southern tinge especially now because i'm starting to appreciate more and more the kind of music i was raised on. Strangely enough, the last line in the song is "please don't let my house burn down." About two weeks after it was written I got a call from my parents saying that the house i grew up in had burned to the ground. It was very strange, one the strangest things thats ever happened to me. But I usually hate it when people tell stories such as this, so thats enough.

Lyrics
Council can you help us find a loophole out of this case
The hanging judge is smiling caus the evidence is all in place.
We misinterpret all red lights for green, a rollercoaster of romance and greed.
The paper says i'm guilty and these punks are throwing eggs at my house, it's a fire, flood, and scandal and it costs too much to get out.
We misinterpret all red lights for green, a rollercoaster of romance and greed.
I'm knocking down the wall that separates the mind from all it's worth, I'm selling what posseses me, I'm bracing for next years curse.
(Break).
I've been a walking shell of myself since that cold march day, betty I can still hear you pace up and down this hallway.
We misinterpret...
Please don't let my house burn down, i pray
