Lyrics

FACTORY
Music by Roger Bolt
Arrangement by Roger Bolt & JoAnna Noble
Adapted from a poem by G. Wright

Heart pump, brain sing
Senses reel from everything
Body ache, felling pain
The bittersweet then back again.

Why not design a great big room
Complicated as a loom
Where fabric never seen before
As fresh as dew begins to pour
Off the wheels and out the door
Off the wheels and out the door

If a wheel turns
And a product seems to say
I am made of dreams
Hold me, see meÂ?let me be a part of you
Or leave me.

In fact it was all done before
A factory built from a scholar's lore
Except of course we now by chance
Call it all a renaissance.

The Factory functions on and on
The loom keeps fabric pouring out
The pace is civil, though once a shout
Was heard to say.
It's done
It's done
It's done.

Straight fives: this one could fit well on any essential folk album. Very good haunting melody with instrumentation, lyrics, and vocals to match. Terrific vocal harmonies. The haunting melody is pensive and pleasing like a Robert Smith (The Cure) melody although this certainly is not a goth piece, but that makes the melody all the more unusual and pleasing. I certainly cannot match the wonderful finesse on instruments that you have, so all fives in those areas, too. Beautiful mixing and mastering...not too little or too much. Flutes work nicely, too. Lots of interest in the progression of this song.

I really love your voice, your harmonies were right out there what a great job with this song..I love having the lyrics to go with songs makes enjoying the song 100% greater....You have a wonderful soft sound which makes this song mighty fine to these ears..
