CHOO CHOO BOOGIE

Story Behind The Song

Three months of hanging out with a model railroading enthusiast coming up with railroading iconic names of rail cars, engines and famous train destinations as lyric choices for this tongue and cheek tune set to a boogie dance tempo. Lyrics

CHOO CHOO BOOGIE

1.
Well in the evening after work'n till five
That's when my choo choo really comes alive
Me and my honey with the door locked up tight
On a love'n express just a roll'n through the night

Bridge
Take the night train to heavens border
I'm going all the way with the Santa Fe Super Chief

2.
Gonna take the love'n train on an all night run
Take it all the way to kingdom come
We got the moon and the stars for light
Got enough love'n steam to keep her running right

Bridge
We're just a stoking up my boiler
Gonna raise some hell with my Lionel tonight, It's alright

Chorus
Sing'n Choo Choo Boogie
Woo woo wee

Lead Break

My Lakawana's in the sauna making steam
My Waubash Canonball just won't stall
Red hot caboose will be bust'n ah loose tonight
It's all right

Bridge
Take the night train to heavens border
All the way with the Santa Fe Super Chief

You can come as you are to my dining car
Make yourself at home in my Vista Dome
The Pullman sleeper, she's my night time keeper tonight, it's all right

I'm just a stoke'n up my boiler
Raise some hell with my Lionel tonight

Take the night train to heavens border
All the way with my Santa Fe Super Chief

Chorus
Sing'n Choo Choo Boogie
Woo woo wee
Sing'n Choo Choo Boogie
Woo woo wee

Recognized the Train theme right off the top...hard to miss. Nice little tune...lyrics in some places where the metaphors shone were nice...especailly like the "boiler" and "Lionel" metaphors...that was fun.

Awesome instrumentation, and choice of instruments. Great boogie voice. Would love to hear more.

Who doesn't love a good train song? This one is fun because you can take it so many ways. It reminded me of a model train enthusiast with his sweetheart/wife joining in the fun (not necessarily in the train room.) The rhymes are fun...ex: Lionel/Hell. The dynamic instrumentation is exceptionally fine, especially that hot harmonica and great guitar. Very trainlike! This track has a great energy and dynamism to it from start to finish. Very cool intro with twangy guitar.
