Story Behind The Song

Here is the story behind my first single titled, "Because I Win." In my past I was a motivational speaker. Obviously I loved encouraging people right. Back then I had a business that was very successful. Now here it is a huge change in my career but not in my personality. I still love to motivate and encourage. Anyway, I asked my good friend Phillip Tucker to make me a dance hall track. I wrote some dance hall style material, and just needed a track behind it. He sent me this beat I had absolutely no plans for, because it wasn't dance hall style. It was more of a rapper beat with an R&B hook. It wasn't what I asked Phil for, but this beat was awesome. It is so much energy in this track I had to write a song for it. Okay so I listened to the track once, and freestyled the chorus to the song. I really liked the flow of the chorus. Plus this is the perfect message that I want my listeners to grasp. So I began to think about how to write the song. It came to me that I'm the example of what I'm singing about on the hook. Exactly what the hook is saying is what I'm doing to get where I'm going in my career. I'm just passing down the thoughts that are in my head that is causing me to make progress in my career. Of course, after that it all went down hill with the writing progress. This song sounded so good to me that I chose to hold back the album. I decided to release my single before my album. This is to show everyone the hype that is being put in my marketing is supported. Supported by an artist that is destined for greatness. I cannot wait to perform this song live. A live band playing this track is going to create this exciting motivational show that will always be remembered by my fans. I feel it in my bones. Song Description

If a person is trying to lose weight, finish school, work out, motivate themselves before a basketball game this is the song. It's fast enough to dance to but lyrical enough to make you believe in what you need encouragement for. An example would be myself the artist/songwriter. I believe in myself so much that I wrote a song about the thought process in my head to keep me energetic & positive about becoming a star. Believe in me before anyone else can and not say I think I can win but I've won.
