Story Behind The Song
I have to admit it is heavily influenced by Elton John?s 1976 hit ?Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word?, especially with the use of the piano and vibraphone together. Who knows I may release an uptempo version of this one day so we?ll see.
Song Description
This song was already eight years old when I included it on the album. I wrote this back in the late summer of 1996. I started to write down my feelings rather than keep them locked inside and this song was the result.

VERSE ONE:
The game of love?s an easy game to play
The rules are simple and so unkind
The game of love?s supposed to be so true
But the truth to me is always blind
VERSE TWO:
Why is the game of love a game so sad
Why is it me that has feel the pain
Love?s the hardest word you?ll ever find
Because love?s the hardest kind of game
MIDDLE EIGHT:
I?m tired of the lying
I?m tired of the cheating
In this game that?s called the game of love
You take a heart
And tear it apart
That?s the rules for the game of love
VERSE THREE: INSTRUMENTAL
REPEAT MIDDLE EIGHT
VERSE FOUR:
The game of love?s an easy game to play
Why is it me that has feel the pain
The game of love?s supposed to be so true
Because love?s the hardest kind of game
