Story Behind The Song
To finish off the album I turned to a track that I originally wrote back in 1996. This is a slow piano and guitar ballad with no drums; it is about finding hope and hoping that what you find is what you want.

If Only I Knew

VERSE ONE:
I never knew it wasnÂ?t true
I never thought IÂ?d make it through
I never thought IÂ?d be alone
And now IÂ?m left here on my own
I should have left here years ago
My life was swinging to and fro
I never thought IÂ?d make it through
I never knew it wasnÂ?t true
CHORUS:
If only I knew yesterday
What I know now, what I know today
I would have changed my ways
In the hope for some better days
If only I knew
VERSE TWO:
All the childhood dreams I had
Were slipping right out of my hand
Wondering what was to become
Wondering what was to be done
All the past just seemed to good
Not to know I would be fooled
I never thought IÂ?d make it through
I never knew it wasnÂ?t true
REPEAT CHORUS
