Story Behind The Song
My brother and sister were getting into a lot of arguments and being down right upset with each other. It really hurt me and the only way I know how to let it out is through song. The First Verse is about that; feeling like the weight of our family was on me because I was the only person they would talk to for a while. The Second verse is full of questions; why are we as humans so undecided on things, like love and compassion? When they are all on the same wave length. All you have to do is reach out and grab a hold of them. They're right in front of you. I had some help writing the bridge from a friend Christie, who is an English major. Sometimes life surrounds you but don't worry.
Song Description
In my family, I've had lots of deaths; more than the average family. So we've always talked of them looking down on us in every aspect of our lives. When I look up at the stars, I think of them. The verses are about how some family that are still here are having trials of their own, but we have to keep the family together, while we still have each other. This song means a lot to me and I hope that it sparks something in another person's life as well, knowing that their deceased relatives are looking down on them.

Lyrics
How long have we been together?
I've seen your faces on the tree
How Long? Has it been forever?
and now the weight is all on me.
I've seen a hundred - thousand stars in the sky
And there watching over me
Watching over me
Why are we so undecided?
About what we love and don't
Why do we have guilt, greed, and compassion?
When it revolves on a single note
Sometimes this life surrounds me
I want to crawl far from the fear
Raise my eyes look high above and see
He is fighting for my every tear
