Story Behind The Song
Lead singer had a dream and sung the verse melody on the guitarist's answering machine. After taking the part into the studio the chorus idea was generated. Later thought that the chorus might sound better with a girl so we had our Engineer's wife sing a few tracks and WOW.

Lyrics
Wake in the middle of the...
Wake in the middle of the night
He get's this awful feelin'
He gets this feelin' that ain't right
He looks over his shoulder
He looks and sees that she's not there
But, he still feels her presence
Her pillow still smells like her hair
He can't get over it
He's not the type to quit
He can't release her from his head
He can't get over it
He's not the type to quit
He can't believe she's really dead
Wake in the middle of the...
Wake in the middle of the night
He didn't want to say, it was a year ago today
The ugly accident that took his love of life away
Tonight's a special night
The table set the linen white
He can't get over it
He's not the type to quit
He can't release her from his head
He can't get over it
He's not the type to quit
He can't believe she's really dead
