Story Behind The Song
We had a groove on this in practice and I wanted to make a song out of it. I had this great title lying around and it looked like a good challenge. I put them together and wrote my lyrics around this title and it became a statement on starving artists and America. I hope it doesn't turn out to be autobiographical.
Song Description
a great novelist lived a life of silence writing furiously until he died and became famous. Commentary on our practice of praising and wanting something once it's gone.

Lyrics
There was a man that passed today
You wouldn?t have known him anyway
Not that many facts were known
He stayed inside and lived alone
Chant: get it out, let it out, blow it out, never doubt, got to keep on writing.
In his room, he wrote like mad
His pen exploded on his pad
He wrote the greatest works untold
But, not a page was ever sold
(Chorus)
The Long lost works of Benjamin Lloyd
The greatest genius the world?s never known
The Long lost works of Benjamin Lloyd
He will live longer in death than in life
Unread papers at his door
Found him face down on the floor
Story made the news tonight
Publishers want copyrights
(Chorus)
(Bridge)
Though his pen has stopped and his hand has turned cold
His legend will grow as each story is told
Chant: get it out, let it out, blow it out, never doubt, got to keep on writing.
(Chorus)
