TRILOGY: PIANO CONCERTO

Story Behind The Song

THE VERY LAST COMPOSITION OF MY NEW ALBUM "KATHARSIS". I DID 15 YEARS AGO A CLASSICAL PIANO CONCERT AND LAST YEAR I BEGAN TO PRACTICE AGAIN BUT NOW WITH THE INCLUSION OF ORCHESTRAL SOUNDS ALTHOUGH REMAINING THE PIANO AS THE IMP

Song Description

EACH MOVEMENT HAS DIFFERENT TEMPOS, MOODS AND STYLES WITHIN CLASSICAL MUSIC. THERE IS KIND OF GRAND FINALE BUT THE CONCERTO ENDS THE SAME AS IT BEGAN.

Song Length 9:23 Genre Classical - Classical, Classical - General
Tempo Multiple Tempos Lead Vocal Instrumental
Mood Serene, Restless Subject Existence, Imagination
Language No Language Era 2000 and later

I like the way the intensity builds from 2:48 and gets stronger. My initial thought was, ; it's elevator music, but then the keys were very strong. Parts of it sounds like the music played when one is placed on hold. Somewhere around 2:50, the identity of the song takes over. This is a great score instrumental. I would recommend the track be submitted for licensing.

Very nice piece. Arrangement and instrumentation was very nice. I loved the surprise rise and tempo changes. Very good!!!

If there were a competition for the fastest fingers on Broadjam, the executor of this piece would definitely get my nomination. Whew! You almost took my breath away with your faster than lightning work on the keyboard. Played with passion and excitement, this competition contains several distinct movements, and none of them disappoint. Bravo!

Nice tune! Very enjoyable. Love this genre! Good Balance in production.

I liked the track because you did not quite know what to expect as the composition is somewhat you unique, I loved it when the music became more rapid in the middle. There is quite a distinctive tune running through it. I loved it when there was a big crescendo near the end. I liked the uniqueness in the timing of the track.

I like the counter melodies. Wow this really starts to rock.

Piano patches with a string trail off seems unneeded. Obviously in the key of Am with too many white note passages. This seems like a piano piece only. The instrumentation obfuscates any clarity making the piano compete with the samples. It seems desire to be a short concerto type of piece. "When in doubt, leave it out." If its a piano piece, so be it. If it's to be orchestrated, there needs to be a reason for the orchestra to be there. I hear glimpses of this concept toward the end and this should be developed further.

Such excellence in one track! The composition is well written and the music itself is a testament of greatness. I can tell that you spent much time and hard work into making this track and the end results can attest to that. Such attention to detail and performance deserves a good review. I look forward to hearing from you again in the future.

Obviously a very talented composer and performer! Lots of variety in the song which kept it interesting throughout. Good job of establishing your theme and varying it throughout the piece. This is not always easy. Excellent technical skills as well.

Beautiful composition and arrangement.

Nice dynamics!!! Beautiful changes!!! The tempo changes and stops are great. This is a well designed classical piece!!!I really enjoyed listening to it!!!

Surprising piece, starting out peacefully with a Chopinesque piano/flute part, and then becoming violent in the full orchestra section. Would make a good movie soundtrack.

Wow this song has a display of all the emotions, which is sometimes how a person feels inside! Good job with bringing that out and! Nice work!

Over nine minutes of pure listening joy...there is so much to listen to that I doubt it could be pitched to a music supervisor in this current arrangement...my best advice is make as many one minute two minute three minute sections as you can and pitch them individually as opportunities present themselves. You are a very talented and gifted pianist and arranger...I'm very impressed

This keyboard sound is an interesting and pretty hybrid. I like it. unusual and wholly appropriate for this piece!

The little hook that's played is fun, and I enjoy that it changes just before the 2nd section.

This piece really wants a reeeally big orchestra. It's screaming for it. That would be so much fun.

Reminds me a bit of Richard Clayderman. Or Yanni. Or... there are several pianists who could perform this now and it would be a hit.

AHHH! and then you go back into the flourishes and make a change at 4:34... you sneaky person!! that's cool...

Do you have the orchestration for this written out? Explore the use of all the instruments of the orchestra, and then put this out there to be performed! It would go over well. Even with an ensemble as the front performers instead of just the piano/harspichord...

I remember watching a young gentleman pianist from central Europe (i apologize, I don't remember the country) who would do this piece great justice as a soloist. I believe he worked in a photo lab, and his boss put him up to performing on one of those "... Got Talent" TV shows. He would love this.

I enjoyed this piece alot.

Great arrangement this is a interpretation of what i call a modern classical. Let me tell I would bet my last dollar that it was created on a yamaha which is strictly designed for touch sensitive key strokes. i can definitely hear the weighted keys. very nice song

Has some pretty cool technical sounding parts.

Nice piece filled with surprises. This piece reminds me of Maxim.

nothing needs to be said this great, nicely done

This is interesting. I used to listen to Yanni a lot and I love the unexpected changes in rhythm and how the strings come in. There is passion in the playing.

This song has such great feel. Your play with power then lay back only to bring me back up.You pause then bring me back in...your chances are beautiful and keep me connected. Never thought I would want to keep listening to a song near 10 minutes long but you kept my attention. Well done.

Hi! Amazing!!! You are very talented! Congratulations! Everything sound perfect. The arrangements, the sound, the technique... Wonderful!!!

Very skilled pianist, with expression and feeling. Excellent balance between the keyboard and the other instrument.

interesting piano/harpsichord sound, nice build, classical yet contemporary, lulls you into the great pick up of the pace and instrumentation, very nice keyboard playing and dynamics. i personally think the change up of pace and instrumentation ideas are excellent. the samples backing this though is the only letdown in a very nicely composed piece. obviously with the short breaks and change of pace/concepts, this can be cut and spliced to be MANY different pieces for sure if you haven't done so already.

Beautiful work.

There was a great mysterious quality to this song that drew my in, and then the dramatic transition into the energetic arrangement was a great surprise. Well done

This is a perfomance driven piece that clearly shows the proficiency of the piano player. The song displays varying tempi, meters and moods.

Lots of great ideas to expand on in this piece. Great performance on the piano part. Great use of "espressivo". This helped to breathe life into it. I loved the unexpected chord changes (approx. 8:04 to 8:08) in the last section leading to the end.

I'm glad that somebody still writes music that makes you think.
I don't care if it's played live or entered on a computer - it's sounds good.
Love harmonic development and structure, tempo and dynamic changes.
Length is appropriate.

More of a synth than POP, not sure where you would use this other than for a Video game, Sorry, I am not good at this, Critiquing others music

Nice song, would suit good in some fantasy movie.
Good melodies and composition.

It reminds me of Yanni at his best. I like it a lot. Bravo...

I like the contemporary feel of the piece. Production quality is excellent; nice sections in the piece.

Excellent! Bravo!

Epic work I guess...

Very good, excellent for a mock up orchestration.

Great arrangement, it has a lot of potential

Excellent use of tempo changes. An almost Spanish feel to the chord structures and yet reminiscent of the orchestral music of the song 'Music Was My First Love'.

Fun. Very 1980's Classical Theatrical Pop/Rock a la Meatloaf. Also I hear a bit of Liszt in your approach.
