Sorrows Drowned (Last Call)

Story Behind The Song

This was the first song the band ever wrote. Originally an uptempo rockabilly song, when Emchy and Boylamayka started playing it together, Emchy (as usual) suggested trying it in a minor chord and the band found it's uniquely delicious dirgey groove.

Lyrics

Keep drinking Drown your sorrows
There's nuthin' better than a good ol' double o' rye
Yeah, keep drinkin'
It cures what ales ya, but ale ain't enough to keep the thoughts from troublin'
Keep drinkin'
Drown them sorrows away

Rhubarb Whiskey
Ain't it a gas
Always with ya', in a silver flask
Rhubarb Whiskey
It's the demon yeah it ain't no angel but it helps the healin'
Yeah whiskey
Drown them sorrows away
